FAQ

Common questions from Nairobi drivers.

What is FareRadar?
A real-time tool that scores Nairobi zones by fare opportunity — based on time of day, traffic, and weather — so you spend less time guessing where to go and more time earning.
How are zone scores calculated?
Each zone gets a score out of 100 from four signals: time-of-day demand patterns, live traffic congestion, current weather, and your shift type (day or night). Scores refresh every few minutes.
Is FareRadar free?
Yes. Zone scores, best zone banner, weather alerts, fare logging, and earnings history are permanently free. Pro (KES 299/month) adds live traffic data, surge alerts, AI insights, and earnings exports.
What does Pro include?
Live TomTom traffic, surge alerts, AI-powered shift insights, and CSV earnings export. Subscribe via M-Pesa — open the app, tap your account, then Go Pro.
How do I log a fare?
Tap Log fare at the bottom of the main screen. Enter the amount and the zone if you like. Your total, fuel cost, and net are tracked automatically.
Does it work with Bolt, Uber, Little, and others?
Yes. FareRadar is platform-agnostic — it sits alongside whichever app you use. Add your platform in your profile for tailored tips.
Does it work on a slow connection?
Zone scores fall back to simulated data when live data isn't reachable, so the app stays usable on weak signal. Fare logging works locally and syncs when you're back online.
